Instead the project type needs to be either “iOS XAML App (Xamarin Forms)” or “Mobile App (Xamarin Forms) They say it takes up to 48 hours, but I had to wait 1.5 weeks to become accepted -_. And a bug related to Hot Restart was recently fixed in VS 2022. You MUST have the Microsoft Store version in order for it to work.
